I know, i know.........

Apologies for the lack of action recently, the truth is I've not chucked any fluff for quite a while now. Being the heathen i am I've been remembering the joys of trotting and it's with a heavy heart i confess to spending the last few weeks fishing with................ bait!...

In particular I've been targeting Perch and Roach, with the river being low and clear Roach have been hard to come by but the Perch have been willing to savage worms and minnows, along with the odd Chub.

A few pictures...

A change of venue to a small stream brought a nice change to the weekends, and of course that all important mystery! My first visit was a slight disappointment, not in the venue but the fact there was a match being fished that made fishing the stretch i wanted to impossible. Fortunately the following weekend was a matchless one, and this plus a little rain to top the river up and add a little colour was just what the doctor ordered, finally i found some Roach......along with the inevitable Chub!...

So there we go, a quick pictorial update to let you know I've not snuffed it! I'll have the 8wt out soon but to be honest the Pike have been hard to come by on the river so far this year, with the weed dying back it should open up a few more of my favourite areas so stay tuned...

Cheers,

Graham
